I've been on here for a few months and not used the forum and figured it would be rude not to say. . Hello!! I own a 2001 landrover discovery 2 td5 that's most definitely got it's issues! Since I've had it I've done plenty to it and today I started rubbing the chassis down to underseal it and got the drivers window working, also done a fuel filter change that looked like it was long overdue!

Looking forward to the nationals next weekend! Very Happy

Welcome to the form Marklewis86.
Too many electronics on your Discovery which would baffle me but someone will know.
No question is a silly one; we're all here to help.

Welcome to the club and forum!

I had a Disco 2 Td5 for a few years but sold it to get the current 90. Well worth rust-proofing the chassis as it's the problem area for the Disco 2.

I'm looking forward to getting it done but the prep work is a nightmare! Had to stop tonight as I keep punching the chassis when the brush slips!

Hi and welcome,

Be careful with your chassis - I have managed to find several holes in mine in the last few weeks whilst prepping for rust protection.

To galvanise or not to galvanise, that Horatio is the question..........................

Sorry Sad got as bit ott there

regards

Welcome to the forum Mark.

As Alan said, Discos are too complicated for me as well. If I can't fix it with a mallet and set of mole grips I'm not touching it.

Lots of knowledgeable types on here though, who will be able to assist.

Cheers
Geoff

Welcome to the forum.
Never had a Disco but as it was made by Land Rover, it's bound to have a quirk or ten Smile

Thankyou for the welcome!
Galvanise is a possible route, maybe when it finally washes away!!
My disco definitely has it's quirks! I'm a little worried about it's new engine noise but I'm sure it will show me what it is eventually!!😂
Looking forward to getting it muddy at weekend!

Not as complicated as they sound, most of my issues have been fixed with a persuaded! 😂
