About 6 years ago I bought an 88" series 3 which was on its last legs. I signed in to several forums back then as advice was badly needed. I think I may have been a member here, but after getting her into reasonable shape I stopped posting, lost my details in the mists of time and have now (probably re-) joined. It's great to have some back-up when I'm scratching my head and staring up at a dripping sump, or whatever. I should never have stopped.

Welcome again to the forum Mark.

Don't forget, it's not a leaky sump, it's just the Landy marking its spot.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Mark,

Welcome back to the club and forum.

I'm an ex-resident of Taunton and my family still live there, as does my series 3 so when i visit, i'll look out for you. There's lots of good help and advice on here.

As for the leaking sump, it's merely the landy's way of telling you it's got oil and it's only sweating power! Wink Very Happy

Welcome back to the 'madhouse' Mark! I've lost count of the times I have been told...

'I think your Land Rover is leaking oil mate, have you seen the road!'

'Really! Must get that sorted!!'

Thanks all. For some reason my wife doesn't like the oil patches on the drive, but I tell her it's a lovely mottled pattern and anyway it can only be seen when the Landy isn't there!
