In less exciting news, Iím going to use the 90 to take a load of garden waste to the tip again, inspired by the earlier discussion. And the need to remove said waste! Smile

And I bought a pair of new axle stands on eBay for a tenner from a guy local to me! Very Happy Even Mrs K thought Iíd got a bargain! Surprised Smile

Wow - is there nothing that these vehicles can't be used for?

Iím just happy to have a chance to use the Landy in between work and looking after baby knappster! My Landy time is limited at the moment for both reasons.

Yet again my neighbour is cremating the remains of some unfortunate livestock and I have had to shut all the windows to prevent the ingress of clouds of acrid smoke. My Land Rover's exhaust is much cleaner.
What is it about the British male? A bit of sunshine and he drags out the crematorium and makes a sacrifice which is well underdone in the middle and burnt to a frazzle on the outside. What's wrong with a microwave on grill function? Gallons of a hydrocarbon substance just to get the thing started. Does anyone have a sane explanation for such insanity?

Since fitting new tyres the distance to my turn off point from the A303 has decreased by 0.05 of a mile.

I did plan to cremate some livestock this weekend but Mrs K planned other things so it didnít happen. Still, there are a few months of hopefully nice weather yet, Alan... Smile

I might even get to use the Landy too! Very Happy

Yet more useless news.
Travelling eastbound along the A303 this morning at about 55/60 mph I was overtaken by a P3 Rover. The driver blew the horn which sounded like a klaxon, and shot past with his hand waving through the open sunroof.
I don't mollycoddle either of my classic vehicles and I returned home westbound along the A303 at a steady indicated 70.

There must be a Rover wave as well as a Land Rover wave then! Smile

I used the 90 to take a load of garden waste, old fencing and cardboard to the tip. As I had a free half hour before picking up baby knappster from nursery, I thought Iíd use the time productively by stripping down the old lights and wiring from the light bar I bought at the Newbury sale 18 months ago.

It took me half an hour just to undo the seized nuts and bolts with a 13mm socket, breaker bar, some grips and a load of WD40.

I did manage to collect little Knappster on time though. The lightbar is now ready to have the new LED lights fitted before I put it on the 90 with my next 30 minute window of Landy-time! Then I need to wire it up... Smile

More useless news
Buying dog food today. 1 sack £34.94, 2 sacks £69.89. Apparently the till rounds up the VAT so I do 2 individual transactions. I don't see why I should pay any more tax than necessary. The Land Rover was used to collect the sacks.
Oh, the 2 water butts are filling up now. Land Rover MOT coming up 5th June.
Yet more boring news.

Took the cover off Henry yesterday - yep, still there - put the cover back on. I want to fit the new clutch master and slave cylinders, but as Henry will not fit into my garage (make sure it's high enough Geoff) I have to wait for dry weather. Unfortunately, every time its been dry recently, I have been on call out from work so couldn't do it. Got a weeks leave coming up in June so fingers crossed it'll be dry.

Our garage is a few inches too low to take the 90. One of my plans is to put in a larger garage door but other demands take my time and funds!
