A 90 was stolen from a car park last week whilst the owner walked his dog. It was found a few hours later only a mile or two from where it was stolen suggesting it was left to see if it had a tracking device fitted.

Any physical security left on the vehicle whilst the dog was being walked?? I suspect not...

Another farm animal in a desperate bid for freedom no doubt (pigs are very clever you know) Whole flocks of sheep have been known to stow away in the backs of passing lorries in the middle of the night in recent times.

Think 'Chicken Run'.

Seriously, you'd think I don't have much sympathy. Call me paranoid but when I filled up with petrol this evening I locked the Land Rover while I walked in to pay. I've spent a lot of time in rural Maine in recent years and they think I'm weird there when I insist on locking the car up all the time 'because I've left my camera in it' or something. You get into a habit and they have no idea how bad things are here now.

Many, many years ago a family member left the keys in his Series 1 outside our house (he wouldn't do it now) and it was taken. We chased the culprits in an old Morris Marina and they had to abandon it and run off 'cos they couldn't cope with the gear changes. Yay! Laughing

Things have changed! It’s rare not to see a Defender either blocked by the owner or fitted with lots of security devices. Sadly, a sign of the times.
