Non Land Rover day today. Microwave and washing line need replacing. Not much choice of places to buy microwave here so we discovered the one that Mrs. D wanted on Currys' website so a couple of free bus rides to the out of town store and the microwave was ordered as not in stock with free delivery in a couple of days as we said we would be out on the 10th.
On the afternoon dog walk I received an email saying that delivery would be on the 10th!!.
Back home after some faffing about on the phone the delivery date was changed to the 11th!!
Rich, have a rant and get it off your chest. You'll feel better. Join Geoff and me.

Interesting to read your thoughts on our future world. Anyone here remember Logan's Run? and you thought it was fiction? nah! - just a few years ahead of its time.

If were doing rants, mine would be electrical retailers. Alan, I hope your experience was better than mine...

Rich, the delivery problem was resolved fairly quickly despite all the "Press 1 etc," although it shouldn't have been necessary.
I spotted 10 aircraft vapour trails in the clear blue sky this morning. I wonder what these brain dead "scientists" have to say about that and how do they travel from A to B.
It's the old adage of "Do as I say not do as I do!"

For a while today I could forget the rantings of idiots in this world of lunatics when I walked the dogs across the tributaries of the River Test to the pub, a couple of pints of Hammerpot Seaspray, and a leisurely hour walk back to the Land Rover. A pleasant drive home with the aircon on and the driver's window fully wound down all in glorious sunshine.
Now unfortunately back in the real lunatic world with its mad Frankensteinesque so called scientists.

Me and my mate spent another fruitless couple of hours trying to sort out Henry's refusal to start problem last night. By following the fuel from the tank to the injectors we have managed to rule out everything from tank to the fuel cut off solenoid, which has decided not to 'click' like it should when the power is disconnected and reconnected. The thinking is that the plunger inside may be stuck, so I have ordered a nice shiny new one - all of 8. We managed to flatten the battery at the same time, so that's onto my trickle charger for a few days.

Paul, couldn't you slacken an injector fuel supply pipe, crank the engine and see if fuel is present?

Already did that Alan - there is no fuel getting to the injectors.

Had a training day today. Got rained on as it was outside. The difference in two days! Surprised

Went shopping tonight after baby knappster went to bed. Christmas products everywhere, including mince pies. Well be fed up with it all by Christmas! Bah humbug!

The new microwave arrived late yesterday afternoon so this morning it was unpacked and commissioned. The old one and the multitude of packaging will be taken to the tip in the Land Rover when the new washing line arrives next week.
Fortunately the new microwave is an updated version of the old one so all the programming is the same which is fine for a techno idiot like me. Land Rovers are much easier to deal with.
Murphy's law strikes again. I had to refuel the Land Rover on 10th and today the price of petrol was 1p a litre cheaper ( but not diesel and LPG.)

Forget tumbleweed, its tumble tree around here! Branches down everywhere.

Had a meeting this afternoon. Most was spent discussing what had been agreed at the last meeting. And it was on a Friday afternoon... Surprised Rolling Eyes I somehow managed to come away with some actions to do for the next meeting... Shocked Shocked Rolling Eyes

Bit breezy here too Rich but my 100+ year old beech tree is still standing as is the greenhouse.

We've had some strong winds, and there are a few branches lying around as a result. My neighbour obviously thinks that there are not enough - he has a tree surgeon hacking away at his apple trees this morning - nice!
