And a socket set that size holds its value too. See what they make on eBay! Surprised

We went shopping for a Christmas tree at the local garden centre tonight. Didnít find the right tree though so the search continues.

Got another meeting tomorrow...💤

We'll be dragging our artificial one out of the loft in about a fortnight.

The dehumidifier in the garage has been playing up for a while so I decided to replace it. I wanted the same make as it's manufactured in England (County Durham) so I had a look online at 2 well known retailers both of which have an outlet in my town.
Yesterday I visited the first but they couldn't get the particular make as none were listed on their site as available and they wouldn't send the only one available from their New Malden store so I crossed the road to the other store. I looked through their catalogue but there were none of the make I wanted. I then read that their own brand is made by that particular manufacturer so I ordered one. I was given free fast track delivery as well for delivery the next morning between 7 & 10am the next day.
It arrived just after 8.45am today. We've had to replace the microwave and kitchen radio too within the past couple of months.
The dehumidifier is an updated version of the old one which I bought last century so it hasn't done too badly.
The make is Ebac and the retailer Argos.

My new mobile phone hasnít had any reception or 4G coverage all day. I was not far off of phoning the service provider and sending the phone back when a colleague looked online and found that O2 had had a network failure today. Hopefully this wonít be a common occurrence... Will they refund a daysí network charge I wonder??? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Rich, the delivery driver told me that this morning but I never lost O2 coverage and Mrs. D rang me twice this morning and I made a call.

The trouble is that people have become far too reliant on infrastructure provided by somebody else. Anything can break down (as we in the Land Rover community know only too well). What happens now is that things are not allowed to fail and if anything isn't perfect it is immediately condemned as a total failure.

It made me realise that we are very reliant on mobile phones and that mobile companies do not care about their customers. No sign of any meaningful apology... Rolling Eyes

We purchased our artificial Christmas tree today. It cost a bit more than we anticipated but should pay for itself in a couple of years of buying real trees.

Baby knappster enjoyed the garden centre. Especially the guinea pigs in the pet department.

Shearing time for the 2 Drover spaniels this morning. The amount of hair created was too much for the domestic vacuum so the one I use to vacuum the carpets in the garage had to be used.

I just received a text from Tesco - I have my mobile with them so was caught up in the fiasco this week as they use O2 - they have given me 2mb of free data as compensation. That'll come in useful as I never access the internet on my mobile phone Sad

Mrs. D and I have been given 2 day's worth of air time the monetary amount to be deduced from our January bills.
All my postings are done from my mobile.

The company behind the jet propelled car Bloodhound, which was hoped to travel at 1,000 mph has gone bust. Bloodhound is now for sale for about £250k. Any takers? Low mileage of 35.
I saw it at a local steam rally and classic vehicle show in June this year.

As a new customer to O2, I havenít had the notification of being reimbursed for lost network. Not impressed.

But by way of self recompense, I used the 90 for work today. Some normality restored!!😁😁
