Since, south and north pages are busy, thought I’d better kick this one back into gear.
Midlands definition?, according to my wife’s workplace(and her patch), it’s as far south as Milton Keynes, Warwick, Worcester, Gloucester etc and as far north as Chesterfield and all that is south of the Humber inc. Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Lincoln, Doncaster on the east. Stoke and Crewe on the West, and as far south west as Hereford. Border at Wales is obviously the limiting factor westwards.
Hope that helps?, or do you disagree??? _________________ New to Landy life...but now with bleeding knuckles!

In the middle of the midlands???
I’m in the 3 counties corner, in 10mins I can be in Leicestershire , Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire, all very midlands. Work in Warwickshire which is also midlands.
Lastly went round Solihull before C-word and Castle Brom a few weeks ago, got to see some old camouflage paint on part of the factory wall from WW2....all very midlands. 😀😀😀 _________________ New to Landy life...but now with bleeding knuckles!

Gloucester is south, not the midlands! South west strictly speaking but that would be another discussion forum. For work purposes, it could be included at a push but I’d say the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire border would be the divide between the two areas. _________________ Rich.

Just to note, Meriden in Solihull is actually considered to be the centre of England. _________________ 1979 88" Series 3 Diesel (Daily Driver)

Sorry Adie, no desire at all to be a midlander! I’m happy being from the West Country! _________________ Rich.

I lived in Cornwall for 4yrs, so thats a separate matter altogether, that’s the “real” South West
I know which side my pasties crimped, so I’m a non emet
Northerner by birth, south western by education and midlander by residency. Although Scottish extraction!...... I think I’m officially a mongrel _________________ New to Landy life...but now with bleeding knuckles!
