Geoff, I couldn't care less about Mrs. Ritchie wood chopping. It was the blurred image of the Land Rover that drew my attention to the article.

Mrs. D gets the paper free when she shops at Waitrose with her Waitrose card. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.
Our daily paper is the Western Daily Press but not today as none were delivered to the newsagents so it's the Daily Express in lieu.

Oh I know, Alan, believe me - I too can spot a real Land Rover miles away, or even from the tiniest bit of it visible - it's an acquired skill - but other people just don't seem to understand or appreciate it properly ... Confused

Geoff, I've met a few "celebrities" in my time and they have been civil and courteous. I was given a cup of coffee by a movie star in their own house.
I picked the first of the proper wild blackberries from our estate.
Car Fest south is on a few miles away and I will NOT be going. I can't imagine a rubber bumper MGB GT or a Series 3 Land Rover will be welcome in that highly elitist do. Instead I'll be driving the Land Rover to the Wallops Vintage Gathering and Car Boot Sale at the Over Wallop sports field on Sunday 25th August. It's very informal and I meet my like minded agricultural style mates.
It's ominous though. In 2017 Wallop was a fine sunny day whereas it rained for Longstock. Last year I didn't go to Wallop because it rained all day but Longstock was fine. This year Wallop will be fine and sunny so what does it bode for Longstock?

Who knows Alan. The British weather is as predictable as something unpredictable.

Another late finish so I didnít get to collect my roof rack again. I. Hoping they donít sell it... Rolling Eyes

Has anyone ever bought a car boot at a car boot sale?

Or a flea at a flea market?

Are you looking for a car boot then Alan? If itís for the Landy, you need a tailgate or a safari door, not a car boot... Wink Smile

A pall of acrid blue hydrocarbon laden smoke and the unmistakable odour of burning flesh is emanating from the neighbour's garden.
Yes folks, it's BARBECUE TIME. Back to caveman cooking style.
A microwave is so much easier to use and gives better results.

Not human sacrifice then? Cannibalism? Possibly practising for the great blackout and return to the Dark Ages that will come with Brexit.

I bought a boot lid for my MX5 at an auto jumble a few years ago - does that count?

Baby knappster had a 24 hour vomiting bug since yesterday. I worked today at the strange ballgame leaving Mrs K with her. Fortunately, the worst of it has gone.

Some of our neighbours have been ritually cremating meat too. We settled for a chicken curry for tea. Smile Alan, us men canít return to our caveman roots with an electrical box cooking our food! Wink Smile
