I recorded Wheeler Dealers today on 'Quest' TV. This episode they feature a 1981 Stage 1. Not seen this one before so looking forward to it. Has to be watched once the wife has gone to sleep.

I wonder if this might find its way onto YouTube? (hint)

Sorry Geoff, I didnít get a picture of the 107, I was too busy trying to stop baby knappster from running under the fence into the machinery! PTOís, moving machinery and toddlers donít mix!

Understood. Been there, spent many years doing that, def got the T shirt. Not much into Series 1s (too expensive) but I do have a soft spot for the 107s - just a LWB fan generally really.

Our lot had a pursuit with a tractor a few years ago. Theyíve now got a tyre deflating device for such machines.

I believe tractor tyres are very expensive. Who pays?? Sad

On page 2 of today's Western Daily Press is a picture of Viscountess Weymouth posing on the lawn outside Longleat House in front of a striped 110 Defender Station Wagon.

Is this designed to make the vehicle invisible to 'road safety' cameras when it speeds over zebra crossings?

I was going to say I'd pretend I didn't read that, but then I twigged the sarcasm. I'm not familiar with Wheeler Dealers (these aren't the people who ruined a yellow Stage 1 pickup some years ago, as I recall, are they?) Perhaps I don't want to see it after all, on Utube or anywhere else Sad

Getting confused with Market Harborough Geoff. The only parts of Leicestershire I'm familiar with are those already mentioned.

Loaded the Land Rover this morning with bits of wood, broken plastic containers, broken crockery, a rusty garden incinerator, plastic sheeting and old electrical appliances ready to go to the tip. The first port of call was the nearby Shell filling station where I used vouchers from the now defunct Shell points to get £2.55 off the fuel.
Next stop the tip. Just got round the first 180 degree bend but 2 goes for the second one. Fortunately there was no idiot Eurojunk driver behind. Despite the notice stating "Reverse Parking Only" there were 3 idiots who's driven in forwards. I presume those morons can't reverse into a parking space. As my view through the interior mirror was obscured by the plastic sheeting I reversed using the door mirrors. Dead easy. No problems emptying the rubbish and no comment about using the Land Rover.
Next stop for dog food which, surprisingly, was in stock then back home
Dunsfold phoned today. The differential had arrived. Later I had a text from the courier to say it would be delivered tomorrow. I'll have to be in as Mrs. D won't be able to move it.
Altogether not a bad day. Even the rain let off until I had got home with the dogs.

The insurance company for the tractor owner. But itís cheaper than the damage from a tractor failing to stop! Surprised

Or hiding amongst a group of zebras. Not common in the UK, I reckon. Smile

Another training day today. A guy on the course had a late Defender 90 in white with a genuine LR roof rack. But it looked very much a road-use only Landy.

I stopped at Tesco on the way home to do the shopping. But our local store doesnít sell Marmite XO. Alan, I might have to visit the Andover store if I want some. Smile

Sorry - make that Celebrity MasterChef. Didn't know it was the celebrity version as I don't recognise anyone on it!

Not one matching number on the set for life lottery. I can still get the bulkhead replaced next year though.

I hate all cooking shows with a vengeance. Fortunately wife not interested either. There was one exception: Graham Kerr, whom I used to watch in idle moments as a teenager - I learned only one thing from him, but vital, that I have followed ever since - cooking is only enjoyable when you cook with wine and pour yourself a glass (or two) while doing so Smile (one glass) Very Happy (two)
