Hi, welcome to the forum.
This place is a great place to ask questions.

Do you have any photos of your landy? Smile

Welcome Jason. LWB, SWB, petrol, diesel, soft top, hardtop or Station Wagon?
No question on this forum is ever stupid so ask away. Someone will know the answer.
Where in Wiltshire are you? I'm about 5 miles from the Wiltshire boundary.
Edit. Having read your chassis number query I know you have an SWB diesel utility.

i am salisbury based shes is a Blue 88 utility, not seen a road since 97, and im the 7th owner from new, shes is a 2.25 diesel with a 906 chassis stamp, the serial on the engine is differant from the chassis which is a shame, she has a break in the chassis just before the front bumpstops hence the sag (hope the link works for the image)

oh not to far then, im trying to slowly strip her down to get a full eye on the chassis i have the front end off at the moment but someone has put a floor in using round head posi bolts so i have to drill them. the bulkhead is in a bit of a sorry state but am going to try and learn to weld and fix it as i want to try and keep the original parts, and going to go round a screwdriver poke the chassis and see what needs doing. Too my surprise the outriggers are actually A ok

I had a galvanized chassis fitted to my Land Rover in September 1997. It's still as good as new. I'm having a new bulkhead next year. There is a Land Rover business at Grateley who will do it.

The business is run by Ian and he's in Stevens transport yard, Old Stockbridge Road, Grateley tel 07923 096469. He fitted a bulkhead for another local member last year and made a very good job of it.
I'll be visiting Fieldfare Trailers at Ford near Salisbury soon to sort out a wheel-clamp.

Hi Jason,

Welcome to the club and forum!

Sounds like youíve got quite a project to cut your teeth on! Donít forget some pics of the new Landy. We like pics!

If youíre looking at shielder chassis, check their reviews online. Richards and Marsland get good reviews.

Welcome along, Jason.

Good luck with the project and trying to develop very deep and well filled pockets!

Cheers
Geoff
