Hi all.

I need to get my front crank oil seal replaced (2.25 petrol).

I haven't got time to do this myself owing to work and study commitments. Rpughly how many hour's garage labour will I be looking at?

Thanks

Difficult to estimate a time. The radiator and front panel have to be removed and the sump bolts at the front side slackened to facilitate removal of the timing cover. There are rivets to be drilled out to get the seal out but self tappers can be used on replacement. The hardest part is likely to be undoing the crankshaft starter dog. It's an involved job for a simple item.

Thanks Alan.

I'll hold off with a drip tray for the moment then!

Might hold it over for major service and MoT March time if it holds out. It's still at that 'good enough to live with' stage Very Happy
