Is that even remotely legal though?

Why not? I'm not aware that occupier's liability extends to the inside of your car - otherwise every potentially hazardous article would be unlawful, even when safely locked away.

A discovery 2 was stolen near Market Lavington last night and abandoned nearby. It was a modified vehicle with mud tyres and winch bumper so likely targeted for its extras.

No, strangely it was intact. Not sure what happened unless it ran out of fuel or an immobiliser belatedly worked... or it broke down. it is a Landy after all! Smile

I bet the thieving scum thought it had a tracker.

Stolen from near Salisbury overnight, a green Defender 6-wheeler. No registration number or exact details but it is signwritten on the doors. Unfortunately, the FB post doesn’t give more detail. From the picture, there is no rear body fitted, just the bare rear chassis. It’s very distinctive regardless.

Not particularly noticeable then?! Shocked And a huge market out there for such a vehicle? Perhaps in Eastern Europe? Sad

Or they’re stripped for parts. It’s a very noticeable vehicle so it has to be hidden somewhere.

Just read on FB that it has been found and recovered but the thieves set fire to it. There’s no mention of where or how it was found or the extent of the damage.

A white 110 hardtop with rear windows was recovered by police in Salisbury last week, together with two stolen trailers. No further details posted unfortunately.

Stolen from Whiteparish near Salisbury overnight 14-15th March, a blue/green Defender N650PEL. Unfortunately, the Facebook picture isn’t very good with no detail as to whether it is a 90 or 110 and the image is grainy so the colour isn’t very clear either.
