With the present pandemic, club nights are just not happening, so lets change things a lot'

On Wednesday 17th June at 7.30pm (19.30 hours ) we will hold the first club ZOOM virtual club night
To be part of this unique meeting, please send me your email address and we will send you the codes you will need to join in

Before the meeting, you need to down load the ZOOM app.
In later “virtual club nights” I would like to ask people with specialist knowledge to join in the meetings as “Guest Speakers”
So register your interest today

Sorry Frank, I wouldn't know where to start to "Zoom" so you'll have to count me out.

Great idea Frank. Mrs K has got zoom so I’ll see if I can get an evening pass from little knappster’s bedtime. Smile

I've had a look at the Zoom site and I'm definitely out because I don't have a webcam. Anyway, no one would want to see me. It would be a cross between a Hammer horror movie and Stephen King's "It."

My mobile is an ancient, 6+ year old Nokia so it's unlikely to have the facilities even if I knew how to work them.

Having attended a couple of meetings through zoom for another club it’s a great way to keep the club nights running and keep in touch with members just don’t forget that you only get 40 minutes free for any longer than that you have to pay.

Hopefully will be back to regular club nights soon

This is a fantastic idea Frank- well done and zoom is real easy to use

Alan ..... you don’t have to show your mug ... that’s optional- but the dulcet tones of a LR man would be welcomed. You know my details ... let’s discuss privately.. ?

rfurber, I have only 5 ways of communication. Speaking face to face or by telephone. I can text, email or send a pm when there is the facility. Anything else and my brain goes into underdrive.
I'm willing to chat those ways if you want.

i may be able to help offer a simpler option than zoom for future

1 its free,
2 you can have it in app form and through your browser
3 Theres no limit to how many people join
4 you can use webcam or without
5 and very easy to use

the programme / app is called 'discord' i use it on a very regular basis almost daily, i very highly recommend it and am happy to set the channel up and post the link to make everyones life easier!!!
