I am looking at having a galvanised chassis fitted to my 90. Has anyone had this done and if so, can you recommended anywhere to have this done? Distance no object. I know there are plenty of adverts in the back of land rover magazines but just wondered if anyone had first hand experience of anywhere. Thanks.

A mate did my chassis in 1997 but he's retired now. I had my bulkhead replaced a couple of weeks ago by Ian of ASV. He did a good job.
His premises are in Grateley about 4 miles south of Andover in Hampshire.
If you're interested his phone number is 07923096469., It's some distance from where you are. It might be worth giving him a call if as you say, distance no object.
His rates are £40 per hour, no VAT.

ASV get good reviews on the FB groups I’m on, including one based in Hampshire.

I’d be interested in other suggestions too as my 90 might get the same at some point... Smile

There's only one ASV (Avon Specialist Vehicles) as far as I know. He used to be based in Tidworth, Wilts, but moved to Grateley a few years ago.

Sorry Rich, misunderstood your posting. I now realize it was different Land Rover groups you meant, not different businesses calling themselves ASV.

No worries Alan. Smile

There are quite a few companies that do chassis replacement. Go for one that does Marsland or Richards, they get the best reviews. When i google’d it, Richards are made with slightly thicker steel. There are lots of companies advertising online, including on eBay.
