Thank you.
Yes, I know - now - I googled it. Also googled why. Cheaper to make fancy shapes. Health & safety - nasty broken glass all over the place (never mind the windows - are they plastic too yet?)

You're not far off with the windows..............

Laminated (Triplex anti-shatter) car glass is 2 pieces of glass with a thin sheet of plastic between them.

My Station Wagons each have 19 sheets of window glass, of which 2 in each are laminated. I don't know about any other vehicles. I do recall that joy riders once crashed into the back of my old Station Wagon (another lwb) when it was parked - it needed a complete new rear quarter wing and rear crossmember but none of its glass windows broke. Whatever eurobox they were 'driving' (I use the term loosely) looked like it exploded, with most of its windows blown out! (On an only slightly related topic, I heard that Dyson has given up trying to build a car - could this be because he found out you can't make one entirely out of plaggy, unlike his 'hoovers' Smile )

Just T-Cut the lenses, remarkably good!
And whilst the sun shines, I shall attempt to park facing the garage as its UV light which is to blame.

Thank you for the suggestion
