This event, to be held August Bank Holiday weekend has been cancelled. I wonder about other events like Newbury.

Yet music festivals like Reading and V-festival are going ahead at the same time but I would suggest are a greater risk than a steam fair... Confused

I think the Steam Fair organizers are thinking about the problems if suddenly everything went lockdown again. It's still a great uncertainty as that light at the end of the tunnel is still an oncoming train.

It’s a big financial risk to go ahead with a major event at the moment, given the possibility of lockdown and losing deposits and payments to suppliers and refunding tickets . But it looks like a risk some are taking, together with the potential of infection if the lurgy isn’t under control by then.
