Alan, that’s great news! Good news on the MoT too!
Adie, I’m overrun with pigeons here so any green veg would be toast in no time!
I’m going to change the battery on the 90 this week as it’s close to expiring! _________________ Rich.

Saturday 9th, the dogs and I are going in the Land Rover to the Wiltshire Agricultural Preservation annual show of vintage agricultural machinery, classic cars and motorbikes and of course, Land Rovers. I went to the Wychwood festival at Cheltenham this weekend gone - 3 days of fab weather and great music etc. We were camping in our converted Transit, but the bloke in front of us was in a lwb defender that was pulling the biggest [Censored] off caravan I have seen for a long time. When I asked what it did to the gallon when pulling this behemoth he just grinned and said he couldn't tell me in case his missus heard - apparently she thinks it'll do about 20mpg even when towing. Truth be known it is less than half that - gulp, guess I'll be keeping the Transit then..... _________________ Paul.

I’ve worked the wychwood festival a few times. It’s a good do.
As for 10 mpg in the Defender, that’ll hurt with the rising price of fuel... _________________ Rich.

Mrs K and I are off to the alresford music festival tomorrow. No Landy activity but a great day out nonetheless!
When baby knappster is in nursery later in the week, I might get a bit of time to do some Landy jobs once I’ve done the cleaning. And I’ve got a tree to take down in the garden and a hedge to cut... still, I get to take it to the tip in the 90! _________________ Rich.

They say when a butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil it can lead to a tornado in Texas. Even more incredible, when a potato plant rears its head above ground in Hampshire I get an email in Leicester! _________________ 2 1981 Stage One 109 V8 Station Wagons |

Rich, you throw away firewood in Gloucestershire? (is this what they mean by the north/south divide?) _________________ 2 1981 Stage One 109 V8 Station Wagons |

Oh no! I’m keeping the wood for logs! The leafy bits and hedge cuttings go to the tip.

Baby knappster’s got an eye infection and a chesty cough so she’s off of nursery for a few days. No gardening or Landy time for daddy then! Still, she’s on the mend and I’m enjoying having her home with me.
As it’s tumbleweed, anyone watching love island??? Other than a load of men and women jumping into bed with each other, what is the idea behind the series??? Mrs K’s watching it but when I ask her what the storyline is, she doesn’t know but doesn’t miss an episode! _________________ Rich.

Had a trip to ikea today. Even though I knew the two items I wanted, it’s still not a quick visit. The store is laid out in such a way that you walk through each department before the exit, thus trying to get you to impulse-buy. That would be a bad move in somewhere like Craddocks or Paddocks!
I bought a gazebo and a picnic rug, both were on offer. I had ideas on the gazebo being a temporary cover for the 90 so I could do jobs on it in the rain but Mrs K was having none of it. Apparently these items are for an impending milestone birthday BBQ... Not mine, I must add! _________________ Rich.

I walked the dogs to the local where I enjoyed 3 pints of Otter real ale and then walked (in a straight line) home. I won't be driving until tomorrow mid morning at the earliest and only if necessary. Mrs. D has chores in mind for me. _________________ Alan Drover.
