I have a limit Rich. No more than 4 pints absolute maximum. 3 1/2 today and obviously no sporting activity tomorrow so I won't be driving for some considerable time.
If the mickey mouse weather forecast is to be believed it looks like the rain will have passed by late morning tomorrow, if so, the dogs will be going to the pub.
Both Stagecoach and Wilts and Dorset bus companies don't charge for dogs.
On the local news now there was a flood resilient consultant being interviewed.
What's that when it's at home?

A consultant who is resilient against flooding??? Smile

The river near Knapp towers is looking high again. According to the environment agency website, the river isn’t due to peak for some hours yet. Our neighbour, who’s garden goes down to the river, will likely get up during the night to check on it.

Alan, my weather app on the phone says we’ve got rain all day tomorrow. In fact, it says rain all week except Wednesday... I’m hoping it’s guessing and we actually have no rain all week.

Our place is on high ground so if we got flooded the town centre would be under a great depth of water. The nearest river is about a mile away.

Very strange. About 8.30am now, no wind, no rain. Heavy rain was forecast throughout the morning here. Has it already passed or is this the calm before the storm?

We’ve got heavy rain. The river has burst its bank behind our neighbour’s house into his garden but we’re higher up. The river has spilled into the fields behind too, although they are lower than we are so flood, each year. The wind has dropped for now.

The fence is still standing, for now... Smile Which reminds me, I just establish ownership.

About 8.45am, just started raining but only light at present. Maybe it's on the way from Gloucestershire.

At just after 1pm it has Rich. I'm sitting in the pub soaking wet with 2 soggy dogs after having walked here. It was raining very lightly when I left home but within a few hundred yards of the pub it got worse so I carried on.
Edit. 2.30pm, stopped raining so just about to go home.

Useless weather forecast wrong again. My area was supposed to have heavy rain and strong winds until late morning. Instead there was light rain and a strong breeze until about 2pm and then the rain stopped and the wind dropped and the sun is shining.
Hopefully Dennis has moved away.

Dennis has largely gone. It’s breezy still but nowhere near as windy as yesterday. It rained until around 1400hrs. The fields and neighbour’s garden got flooded although the houses are much higher so we are fine. Hereford, one of the neighbouring counties, had warnings for floods and red flood alerts.

Went to the International off road bike show at Telford today. The roads were rather wet to say the least. On the way back the M54 was shut due to flooding so we had to make a diversion through Wolverhampton.

Weather is supposed to be a little better tomorrow and is getting brighter as the week goes on - hopefully, as I am off work this coming week and I have loads to do outside. I lost the corrugated roof on the chicken run this weekend and have some nice new sheets to put on.

On the ITV local news just now (our local ITV news is from the Thames Valley and from Kent on HD, although we're in the Test Valley) they were showing the floods in Berkshire and stating that roads were closed to all but the toughest vehicles......
And what was shown making easy progress along a flooded road? Of course a 110 Station Wagon!!
No modern junk, especially electric rubbish would have a chance.
Proper Land Rovers rule.
