I rang my local this morning. The landlady is applying the rules with a great deal of common sense. I said I hadn't come at the weekend as I wanted to clarify the set up. I'll give it a try this coming weekend as it's going to be a fine one and I can sit outside. I can't sit at my favourite place yet which is at the bar.
I rang Burlen today and discovered they stopped refurbishment of Zenith/Solex carburettors a couple of years ago, now concentrating on SU's. Good job I've got a good supply of rebuilt Zeniths.

I had a text from my doctor to say that my annual blood test was due. I had to phone the surgery for a pressure test and Basingstoke Hospital for an appointment for the test at Andover. I couldn't just go in to the surgery for a pressure check so, as I didn't have my own monitor I was put on a waiting list for one of theirs.
I eventually got through to Basingstoke and I was told if I asked I could probably have an antibody test too so I'll definitely ask for one.
Mrs. D was fed up with my complaining about I couldn't get anywhere so she came home from town with a home blood pressure tester. I'll give it a go before tomorrow's early morning cuppa.
It was a right fiasco trying to get these things sorted this morning.

I’ve been trying to register on the NHS app on my ‘phone. Now that’s what I call a proper fiasco! It wants a copy of my driving licence and a recording of me saying a sequence of numbers to compare to my driving licence image! Surprised Surprised Rolling Eyes

I used the blood pressure monitor this morning before the early morning cuppa. 125 over 78. That should keep the doc happy.
Blood test Monday.

That's why I did the test about 5.50am, well before any stress relate incidents that may occur.

Stay away from fuel stations if you want to keep your blood pressure down! I refilled the golf this morning and our local Tesco has put their diesel up by 4p per litre in ten days! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes As have the other retailers. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Now that we’re coming out of lockdown, the oil companies are cashing in on it. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
