Seeking others' experiences/observations on replacement exhaust manifolds, Genuine, claiming to be OEM, or pattern made by who knows?, as the price differences are enormous. And the quality differences?? Particularly interested in the Stage 1 V8 manifolds, but anything concerning Series manifolds or later (or Range Rover) V8 exhaust manifolds' quality might be relevant. Grateful for any opinions/suggestions.

Can't help Geoff. From somewhere years ago I got an exhaust manifold which I restudded and it's still in place today, now on my 2.5 petrol engine but I don't remember where I got it from

If you 'restudded' it I assume it was used and if it was years ago it was probably Genuine. My impression is that one is better off with a good used Genuine exhaust manifold, if you can find one, than a new Britpart/Bearmach one. Just seeking some confirmation of this. Of course new Genuine is best when you can find it and afford it. In the case of the Stage One I stockpile hard to find parts if I see them at a good price, but there is no point if perfectly good aftermarket replacements are cheaply available.
