Hi everyone,

My names Gaz I'm from Worcester and on Thursday last week I bought my first series Land Rover! It's an 1982 ex military Series 111 109 with a canvas roof. It's generally in good condition but the first jobs include replacing the canvas hood and fitting bench seats in the rear.

My previous motoring history includes a 1988 90 County, a 1997 V8 Discover, a 1999 Chevy Blazer and, for my sins, a 2005 Range Rover Sport.

I'll upload pictures once Ive worked it out.... and I'm sure I'll have lots of questions to ask (more likely to be opinion based rather than technical!)

Welcome Gaz138. You'll find plenty of help on this forum so just ask.

Hi Gaz,

Welcome to the club and forum!

I used to own a V8 90 county which I sold to a guy from Worcester... But that was in 2001 or thereabouts.

Donít forget some pics of the new Landy and the V8 90 if youíve got any! Very Happy

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you are going backwards down the car evolution tree.

Next vehicle might be a model T ford Smile

As already said, any questions just ask and pictures are always welcome Smile

Hi Gaz, I'm also from your neck of the woods (just outside Malvern)(yay!) but now live in Redditch (boo!).

Welcome to a life of tearing your hair out in endless frustration (until Alan logs on and sorts out your problems)

Thanks for the warm welcome!

My 90 had a 300tdi fitted, I don't think it was a V8 before hand, I have loads of photos of that build I'd be happy to share. Sold it to a guy from Swansea who I'd be surprised if he wasn't kicking around on here somewhere...

I may be going backwards down the tree but it's definitely more fun this way!

I'm Malvern side of Worcester, which will come in handing when the shows start Very Happy

Welcome to the forum - nice looking truck (the Series 3) - looks like Land Rover mid grey - smart original colour that you don't see very often - one of my Stage Ones was that colour originally - and will be again, if I ever win the lottery (after I've bought it a galv chassis!) (Also nice to have a new member who can post photos without needing to be told how for a change! - well done!! Smile)

Rich, I didn't know you'd ever owned a V8 - don't you miss it?

Loving that 109 pickup! Great colour too! I'm amazed you sold that 90 though! Looks like a lot of effort and money went into that.
