The weather forecast said some parts of the UK might get snow this weekend. Unfortunately we’ve just had rain. Has anyone had snow? If so, don’t forget some pics of your Landy in the snow! Very Happy Very Happy

Rain most of the weekend here in Solihull visiting mother....pretty miserable. Parked in Lode Lane car park today to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Not in the Landy though! The family refuse to get in it in the winter!

Adie, does the last minute shopping in Lode Lane mean you've bought another Land Rover?
Just cold here. The dogs and I got soaked returning from the pub yesterday but arrived relatively dry.

The weather is warming up a bit this week. Looks like this thread will be, erm, on ice for a bit! Smile

We *** might*** get some snow next week, according to the weather app on my phone. However, it also said we would have some over Christmas so it might be somewhat confused!

The weather reporter on the local news did say it was getting cold from Thursday so perhaps the weather app is right...

I am on call this week and they have given me a brand spanking new Ford Ranger Limited for the duration. Absolutely no use whatsoever - big posh 4x4 pickup with leather seats, electronic everything and no load space for tools that is worth talking about - pity there isn't a nice British 4x4 that I could use Sad

We have ford rangers at work. I managed to get one stuck in a snow drift with mud tyres fitted last year!

Before anyone asks, yes it was in low ratio with 4 wheel-drive engaged!

We had some sleet on Coopers Hill above Brockworth on my way home. Quite heavy for a while but it was too wet to settle. Further north looks like they’ll have some snow over the weekend though.

Coopers Hill is where the locals chase a double Gloucester cheese downhill each May. Smile

They must like fast food frank. Personally, I’d go to Sainsbury’s and buy my cheese!

We had our first snowfall of the winter last night. Around an inch or so I. Stroud making my drive to work along the painswick valley very scenic. The roads were noticeably quieter. I wonder how many people phoned in to work asking for a “snow day”??? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Of more importance, the Landy stayed at home as the battery has expired. The replacement, purchased some time ago Embarassed is still in the garage, as Mrs K keeps reminding me. Embarassed Rolling Eyes I checked it when I got home and it is fully charged and good to go. A job for the weekend, then wait for the snow... Very Happy
