Welcome whitehillbilly64.
Yes, we're a nosey lot so would like to know which Land Rover you have.
Ask any question here, no question is ever silly on this forum unlike some others. We all have to learn and I'm still doing so.

Hi and welcome along whitehillbilly64. As you can see many can't wait to find how long your SWB really is! Laughing Laughing

As Geoff says...

Post some pics when you can (if you can) love to see the old girl. I bet that chassis is rust free. Where about's are you in Oz?

Thanks for the replies.
My initials are SW, Funny my sisters are LW. And grew up in Bude,
I live near Murwillumbah, Northern NSW, Australia.
When I got Gilbert, Rego plate GIL081 he was fitted with a Holden 186, 6 cylinder Red Motor. The front had been modified to fit. I picked up a 2 1/4 petrol motor, with 26,000 show on the speedo it came out of. On pulling the motor down, discovered it was probable its mileage, std mains and big ends, and std graded pistons. It was given a 20 though rebore, to remove some water damage, but new std mains and bigends went in. Cylinder has have harden exhaust seats fitted, and the 8.1 head was also shaved a bit, so now closer to 9.1. Spin on oil filter added, and Simonbbc electronic ignition. Have the gear box fitted to the motor in bits rebuilding, again showing very little wear, but water damaged, so replacing those parts.
The colour is Camino Gold.
The problem with Australian soil is that it can be very acidic, Fair bit of rust in the chassis, but I cut it all out and replaced it.
Cant see how to post up pics ? which section should the go in.
Thanks
whitehillbilly

You can post them in any section by uploading them to a photo sharing site like flickr and then copying and pasting the BB code from there to your post here. You can't upload pics directly to the forum.

Welcome along.

How does the Landy work upside down? I know they have great road holding capabilities, but...?

Cheers
