Club Magazine via cyber space
Not for every one but having better photos (I hope that they will be bigger/clearer or with links to better ones) can only be good.
Frank, can you send me a PDF file of this months Mag. for comparison please
In general, I like this idea. _________________ First Landy back in the 1980's

I can take the magazine over email. I think it's a good idea provided that those that do not have a suitable net hookup or want to receive the magazine on paper can continue to receive it.

Don't mind how it comes as long as it does, besides it could free up some funds possibly?

No. Even quicker if only smallish pics are used but with links to a larger photo (held on a remote server).
How many words are in the mag, not that many. I wouldn't like to write them though!
I agree, that a paper version should always be avalible to those whom, it's the perfered way of receiving it.
Maybe a trial could be done. I don't know what format Frank uses before he prints it. _________________ First Landy back in the 1980's

I am sure this has been tried before, Frank will confirm, but if I remember correctly it didn`t prove to popular. There was a section on here when I first joined for magazine downloads but it seems to have gone now. Think it was stopped due to most people prefering to wait for the postie |

Chris,
Quite right I used to get the couple of pilot issues if memory serves correct. Also I think it died the last time there was a forum re-jiggle?
I don't think we would ever loose the paper version as the club has just invested in a decent print set up, now offering print services to other clubs and charities etc
Having said that reading the article in the mag I would willingly receive an e-mail version if it meant cheaper overall club running costs
Cheers

Well I think it's a good idea if it saves the rain forrests.
I'd take it via email / downloaded at will from members area to keep it simpler for Frank. _________________ I'm sorry... I'm presently out of my mind.... please leave a message after the tone.

I'd still prefer to get my mag through the post and to be honest I'd rather pay an extra quid or so on top of my membership to keep it that way.
As you will see I don't do a lot of posting on here for the simple reason I just don't get the chance to get on the computer that much. I'm out on the road every day so when the mag arrives it gets stuffed in my bag and read when I'm sitting having my break.
Also if its a mag how many others who are not in the club will read it and maybe just end up joining because they see the mag and what the club gets up to!! _________________ Almost anything is easier to get into than out of!! |
