I think we must have some psychics on the forum cos I was thinking just the other day 'why haven't we got an area for lightweights as they're series landies too?'!

Slight issue. ALL Lightweights are ex military, as far as I know, there were no civilian versions produced Wink

Good point! Maybe it should just be 'ex-military'? But then there'd be another slight problem cos that would fall into both the series and the 90 110 areas. Oh well! Laughing

Hmm, I see your point now, it's in the cart spring section. Perhaps it ought to be in the 'General' section Laughing

no problem at all, there are at least 2 forums dedicated to Lightweights, so a general military section on this one is fine with all types lumped together, where it falls on the front page is up to the folks in charge!

Do the Santana / ligero not count as a civvy Lightweight???

Also, why do we need different ex-mod sections? I believe that all the major (ie non-cosmetic) changes were common, mainly electrical and auxilary systems, wether on a lightweight, a 109", a coiler etc etc. If we get into seperate sections for all the MOD vehicles we could cover, there would be dozens - what about 101's of the right era? How about your rapier and vampire variants? etc etc etc.

BUT

All in all, I'm in favour of encouraging membership, regardless of vehicle!

Gordon, I think this sections for all ex mils. At least that's the way I'm looking at it. So my Defender will fit in here nicely.
