Hi all,

I've just bought my first Land Rover after wanting one since a child - I'm not disappointed
Very Happy

Due to living within the London LEZ, I spent ages finding a SW that wasn't subject to LEZ. Finally found a 2001 90 SW.

Hi and welcome arch. Congrats on the new purchase. Shame you are restricted on what you can get, but at least you have managed to find something good. Plenty of good folk on here willing to help out if needed. Good luck and make sure you post up a picture of your new toy!!

That looks nice and tidy! Nice one. If you want to post pics on the forum you need to upload to a picture hosting site such as photobucket, flickr etc. Then you can link it back

Hello and welcome to the forum, arch.

When I got my Landy I benefited from the LEZ as the previous owner lived in the zone and had to get shot of it pretty sharpish.

So everything is swings and roundabouts!

Enjoy driving over Smart Cars.

Cheers
Geoff

Smart looking Defender! Cool Cool

Did it have a snorkel fitted at some point judging by the rubber grommets on the offside windscreen frame? Could give some clues as to it's history. Smile

Thanks again for the welcome.
I got a photo uploaded Very Happy

Yes knappster, I thought exactly the same thing! But the previous owner had it for 10 years so I assumed the owner removed it a while ago rather than put in rusty screws, I plan to use it off road too, so not too fussed.

The chassis is in relatively good state. One part needs a eye kept on it but the rear cross member had just been replaced which is a bonus.
